BlueRinse Concrete Washout Solutions

Environmental awareness of the high pH hazard caused when mixing concrete, grouts and cements with wash water has increased in recent years. Containing and accumulating the wash water mix creates an even more significant health hazard to site workers. Wash water can be either treated and discharged on-site or shipped off-site as a waste product.  Our BlueRinse Concrete Washout System has been developed to help workers on all sizes of construction sites treat, recycle and re-use their wash water to avoid hazardous storage and costly accumulation.

The BlueRinse range is continually expanding to suit new applications but the fundamental principles & benefits remain the same:

Untreated concrete wash water is hazardous.  If you ship it off-site it must be described as such.  It takes a million times dilution to reduce 13pH to 7pH.  The more water you add, the bigger the problem.  BlueRinse Textile Products are the failsafe way to manage the pH and safe disposal of concrete wash water

Concrete Wash Water is the real Hazard and Danger to the Environment

Our BlueRinse Concrete Washout System has been developed to help workers on all sizes of construction sites treatrecycle and re-use their wash water to avoid hazardous storage and costly accumulation.

Many professionals in the construction industry still mistakenly consider the solid waste from concrete wash out as the hazard, when it is in fact the water.

Visit our Products page to see our full range of concrete wash water waste solutions, designed to offer peace of mind, protect the environment and suit your individual site policies and regulations.

Concrete Wash Water Waste formed by the interaction of fresh concrete with water or the interaction of water with reactivated concrete.  Reactivation is caused by either cutting or crushing of the concrete causing a fresh surface of concrete to be exposed and become wetted, causing the water to become highly alkaline.

Note: Calcium Oxide (free lime in concrete) plus water forms Calcium Hydroxide (highly alkaline).

A pH limit of between 6 and 9 usually won’t cause any damage when released into the environment, but the release of untreated concrete wash water into surface or ground water can have catastrophic effects.

“I would happily recommend the BlueRinse Concrete Washout system that Mark Brooks has come up with at Mudtech! Manages the pH easily and much better than the other acid or CO2 options! Small unit that makes use of the recycled water which makes it easy to handle. Simple but clever! The best type of problem solving as far as I am concerned. Pretty sure he is hiring and selling these! Give him a buzz and he will help you out.”
